How the Amazon EU FBA calculator works
European referral fees (15% for most categories, minimum €0.30) are charged on the VAT-inclusive price. Fulfilment fees depend on whether you use local FBA, Pan-European FBA or the European Fulfilment Network — EFN cross-border fees are noticeably higher, so use the size-band presets only for local stock. VAT rates differ per marketplace; the calculator removes VAT from the price and optionally adds it to Amazon's fees for non-registered sellers.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Pan-EU and EFN fees?
Pan-European FBA lets Amazon place stock across the EU and charges local fulfilment fees everywhere; EFN keeps stock in one country and charges a higher cross-border fee for orders elsewhere. Pan-EU requires VAT registration in each storage country.
Which VAT rate should I enter?
The rate of the marketplace the order came from: Germany 19%, France 20%, Italy 22%, Spain 21%, Netherlands 21%, Poland 23%, Sweden 25%. Reduced rates apply to some categories.
Is there a surcharge for stock stored only in Germany?
Yes — units shipped from German fulfilment centres carry an extra €0.26 per unit unless you join the Central Europe programme (storage in Poland and Czechia).
